The Jockey Club Innovation Tower (JCIT) is home to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) School of Design, and the Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation.
The school hosts exhibitions and showcase for student work. During our visit we had a chance to see ‘Wheat is Wheat is Wheat’ exhibition – ‘An artistic commentary on our Consumer habits that may have us questioning our next purchase.’ by Peddy Mergui. The conceptual designer & visual communicator presented basic grocery items with well-known luxury labels and aesthetics, which has effectively turned our perception of their quality on our heads. It was a great place to explore on many levels.
